EMFsocial.com’s take: This was a classic last year and we felt the top 2010 Essence Fest event/party. Actually this was one of the best Essence Fest events we have ever attended. This event has been previously held at the W hotel, which seemed like the perfect match for this event. However, there’s now a gamble with the move of the event to the Metropolitan. The Metropolitan is a larger venue than the W hotel and doesn’t quite provide the same ambiance. To be fair this event has been so popular that walks ups couldn’t get because it was an RSVP only event. This would allow those who couldn’t attend before now to patronize the event. Thus, the event could be better than ever. We certainly have our concerns about this year’s event living up to its past editions. However, given its recent history we wouldn’t bet against them. EMFsocial.com will certainly be in attendance to provide our first hand analysis.
